Financial Assistance
Are you having trouble making your electric bill? During the winter months, you may be protected from disconnection through the Cold Weather Rule; in the summer months, the Extreme Heat Law may also apply.
No matter the time of year, REA always works with members to prevent their electric service from being disconnected. Members with past-due accounts should contact our office to work out a payment schedule with us. We don’t want to interrupt service to any member, but in a cooperative, all members are affected when any bill remains unpaid. If bills remain unpaid, this amount must be absorbed by members who faithfully pay their bills each month. Members must contact REA at 1-800-473-1722 to make payment arrangements.
